Stick to acrylic, super wash wools and you can wash it in your machine and throw it in the dryer.LizzieK8https://www.blogger.com/profile/17418678210403829598noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2552439499166649100.post-85747684399188699142010-08-08T02:26:08.955-04:002010-08-08T02:26:08.955-04:00Hi Lisa, thanks for visiting my blog. You asked for some details so here they are- My blanket was made mainly using Hayfield Bonus which is 100% acrylic and small amounts of other Acrylic yarns It is a double knitting yarn and I used a 4mm hook. I started with 295 chains. The finished blanket weighs approx 2kgs so I used approx 20 100g balls. I hope this helps.Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15062391056815559971noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2552439499166649100.post-65066578230521489622010-08-07T23:12:44.313-04:002010-08-07T23:12:44.313-04:00I wouldn't mix wool and acrylic unless you nev...I wouldn't mix wool and acrylic unless you never plan to wash the blanket. If you do wash it, the wool will shrink and your blanket will be ruined :( Cotton and acrylic would be ok together or you could use the 20% wool, but stay away from 100% wool yarn as a mix in :)marilynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00788813592882858065noreply@blogger.com
