I need some advice!

My husband bought me a package of pre cut diamond quilt pieces for our anniversary while we were in Amish country. That was in March and I'm finally getting around to them! I want to make a quilt for our bed. I know I could just make them into stars and applique them onto squares. I'm thinking there might be other things to do with them though. Any ideas from anyone?

What a good husband you have...
Take a look at the Inklingo projects blog http://inklingoprojects.blogspot.com/
The posts labeled "6" Lemoyne star" or "Free collection" will give you some great ideas. Your blocks will be bigger than the blocks in the pictures. You will have to figure the size for the background triangles and squares, but the diamonds being pre-cut will save you lots of work.
Have fun with it.

Tumbling blocks is great for diamonds.
You could also use the diamonds for a border, and put something else in the middle.
Do a search on English Paper Piecing diamonds and see which patterns you can find.
