Time to Plant Your Bulbs

This post brought to you by Bulbs. Dig, Drop, Done.. All opinions are 100% mine.

How many of you have a flower garden? I do!  It was one of the best parts about finally being a homeowner.  I am always so excited to see those plants pop up each spring.  Around our front yard we have a white picket fence and in front of that I have daffodils and tulips. They are so pretty!

Right now is the perfect time to plant spring blooming bulbs.  You can visit www.digdropdone.com to learn more about bulbs in general. There is lots of great information. Another great thing about the site is that even if you are not a gardener you will find creative ways to enjoy the beauty of bulbs.

You can even meet the Dig Drop Done ladies.  I have to admit, I'm most like Evelyn for sure! Although I'm about 12 years younger than her we are at the same stage in our lives - the empty nest stage!! It's time now to focus on ourselves & have some fun!

There is also an awesome contest! “Bulbs. Dig, Drop, Done” - an educational effort designed to excite women about the surprisingly simple beauty of flower bulbs - is giving away a $5,000 yard makeover! All you need to do to enter is submit a photo of your yard at Curbside Chaos

The lucky winner will not only receive a $5,000 yard makeover, but they will also receive a visit from Taniya Nayak (@TaniyaNayak on Twitter) – Taniya will go through and give you tips on the best way to update your yard! She will give you creative ideas for incorporating flower bulbs into your landscape. Also, for every share on Twitter, "Bulbs. Dig, Drop, Done." will donate $1.00 to Rebuilding Together - the nation’s leading nonprofit, working to preserve affordable homeownership and revitalize communities.

While you are visiting Curbside Chaos be sure to check out the Planting Guide.  You simply choose your zone on the map, decide when you want your bulbs to bloom and what you'd like to plant. Then you are given a handy "Planting Guide" to use with your bulbs!  Here is a shot of mine...
