Catching up

Well, I survived the shopping trip with our 16 year old daughter!! LOL! Seriously, it was a lot of fun because she enjoyed herself alot. I'm sure it is a lot more fun shopping for clothes after you've lost weight and are beginning to like yourself more. I'm so proud of her and all that she has accompolished!! Here are a couple pictures, even though she'd kill me if she know I put them on here.

I got some packages yesterday too. Unfortunately I was too tired from shopping to post them or play with them yet. Hopefully tomorrow I can sew some! This first picture is of the great kids prints that I received from Nikki in VA. Thanks so much!

I also got a box from Rebecca in MO. She had offered a "PIG" on one of my email lists and I was lucky enough to respond first. So, I got these awesome basket blocks and a bunch of really beautiful coordinating fabric. I really can't wait to start playing with them!

She said that since there was still room in the priority mailing box she decided to include some fabric for me to use as strings. Yea! I love to make Heartstring blocks and it is always good to add new strings to my containers.
I haven't sewn since the other day when I got all those tops done for Sunshine. I had sewed for five hours straight that day and unfortunately I have been feeling it since then. My right arm and shoulder have been killing me! I'm hoping to get back to my machine tomorrow, atleast for alittle bit.

Thanks for all the great comments on the Moda Make Life fabric! I am really hoping to talk my husband into buying it for my birthday and our anniversary. I need to pick a pattern and just ask for the amount of fabric I need. Of course, if I can convince him to buy me more of the fabric that wouldn't be so bad either! LOL!

So, we watched American Idol all this week. I have to say I'm pretty happy with who got sent home this week. I still think Casey James is great but I'm starting to really like Lee Dewyze too. I like the rock quality to his voice! We haven't watched Survivor for this week yet - so don't tell me who went home!

Bye,
