This morning there was a big brown box on my porch waiting for me!!
Of course, I quickly got it into the house and ripped it open! Inside was this wonderful, beautiful box!!!! I can't believe it got delivered so quickly since I used the free shipping option on Amazon. I figured it'd be here next week sometime. Instead it is here now! Yea!
Here is a picture of everything that was included - of course you can't really see all the goodies but I promise they are there!
I spent a long time reading the manual cover to cover - I know, I know, I'm a nerd! And then I started playing and I didn't want to stop! I was having alittle trouble with the tension but I think I've gotten it worked out.

And look at this...... I actually was able to write out our names with the free motion quilting foot! I can't believe I was able to even sorta write "Lisa", "Tom" and "Ashley"!! The back looks terrible but I think I'll get better after I practice some more.
So, you guys can imagine what I'll be doing all weekend long! Oh and we are having a HUGE snowstorm here in Ohio. My husband measured the snow a couple hours ago and we had 5 inches. Plus it's still be snowing strong and heavy. So pretty!!!! And that means we probably won't be going anywhere so I'll have lots of time to play with my new toy!

Hurray for you Lisa! Lucky it was delivered BEFORE the snowstorm... perfect timing. Good idea to try out your stitches. Now you have a little sampler of the them for reference. ENJOY!
woohoo!!! i will be sewing all weekend too!
Congratulations on your new sewing machine! So glad it arrived before more snow came down. I think you will be having a fun weekend!
Congratulations on your new toy! Lucky you, with the snowstorm you'll have plenty of time to play too. Enjoy!

It's always such a pleasure to have equipment that you can depend on. I hope that you have many happy years of sewing on your new machine.
I've seen this machine in the LQS on occasions and it does look fantastic. I'm green with envy!
Have fun with it.
What great stitches that machine makes! How unusual they are - I especially love the vine with leaves and the Greek key stitch. Do you like crazy quilts? This would be perfect for all the embellishing. It's so much fun to see everyone's new toys!

Join the Nerd Club. I also read manuals cover to cover. You never know when you will need the info!
I have maybe a reason the backs look bad when you were free motion writing. They are called "eyelashes". You are moving the fabric a bit oo fast on curves and that makes longer stitches on the outside of the curves.
I made a book out of interfacing with each stitch my machine will do and any settings I change to get a different effect.
Here in Indiana we got 7" of snow and lots of wind. My hubby works for the county highway here. Poor guy hates to plow snow. It is the other drivers he fears. They have no clue as to how much damage he could do with that huge truck!
Lucky you for a great Hubby, UPS's great delivery timing and a new machine to play with.
XOXOXO Subee
Congrats! I am looking forward to hearing about your experiences with this machine. I am thinking about this one, too. I also ordered the same thread. Keep us up on how it is working with this machine. Wishing you happy stitches!
Tip for this machine- set the tension a little higher than they suggest. I think mine is at 6 right now. I've even heard technicians say this machine needs a higher tension.
That's a nice little machine. I got one for a lightweight machine to take to quilt club & like it a lot. I sewed on it a lot last year when my Pfaff was waiting to go into the shop & it did a great job.
I didn't measure my snow I'd rather stay inside and hide from it!
