Musical Abilities

I have always wished that I had some musical ability. I love to listen to music, especially loud. My favorite styles are country and rock. I also love to sing, but I don't know if I'm really that great of a singer. I sure couldn't be on American Idol, lol, but I can hold a note.

As far as musical instruments, I don't really know how to play anything. I took piano lessons as a child but didn't practice like I should have. As a result, the things I learned didn't really stick with me.

We bought our daughter a guitar when she was younger. She showed an interest and we wanted to encourage her. We signed her up for lessons and she enjoyed them. Unfortunately, like when I was younger, she didn't like practicing and the lessons didn't really stick.

She still has her guitar and will mess around with it sometimes. She doesn't have a guitar pedal but would probably love it.  Anything to make the music sound more like rock and roll, lol!

Can any of you play musical instruments?  If so, what do you play?  Did you learn as a child or an adult?  I sometimes think it would be fun to take some lessons but I don't know.  As much as I hate to admit it, I might still have trouble making myself practice!

Bye,
Lisa

Love both of your blogs, Lisa! Thanks for following mine. Well, since you read my interview, I guess you know that I studied piano classically almost my entire life; beginning in 3rd grade. Every Saturday morning at 9 O'clock, I could be found at my hour long lesson. I LOVE playing classical music and after all these years, my husband surprised me with a baby grand for Christmas last year! Needless to say...I was "Over the Top"!
