I stumbled upon the neatest idea the other day on the internet. Have any of you heard of "Between You and Me Keepsake Journals"? Each hardcover, spiral-bound book measures 6 ½ " x 7 ¼ " and contains 35 - 45 fun-to-ask and fun-to-answer questions.
The idea is that you can give one of these to a special person in your life, ask them to answer the questions then return it back to you as a keepsake. Another neat idea is to purchase them for someone special and fill in the questions yourself. There are many journals available including ones for Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, Brother, Sister, Honey, Girl, Family Reunion, Daughter, Son, Aunt, and Uncle. As well as journals in Spanish for Mama and Papa. They also offer a unique message card that you can include in the packaging if you are sending the journal directly to the recipient.
I was so excited when I discovered these journals because I thought it wold be perfect for what I'm going through right now. With Ashley leaving for college I'm feeling a little lost. I think that I'd like to fill out a "Between You and Me Mom" journal for her as a gift. It might be good for me to reminiscence and a wonderful keepsake for her.
